FRIENDS AND FAMILY FUNDRASING CAMPAIGN 2015
January 1, 2016
Dear Sir or Madam,
Re Sponsorship/Donation Opportunity The Milton Sea Cadet Corps
RCSCC Chaudiere is a non-profit organization working to improve the self-confidence, teamwork, physical fitness and leadership of today’s youth ages 12-19. Our mission is to become better citizen within the community and to be a positive role model for other youth and adults. Additionally, the program provides young men and women with many skills that are applicable to today’s workforce.
The local cadet program is jointly funded by the Department of National Defense and the Navy League of Ontario. The funds are used to pay for things such as training, fitness equipment, storage facilities, specialized support equipment, training for cadets and officers, uniforms, training materials and summer camps. There are however many expenses connected with running the program and we rely for funding solely on our own fundraising events and the support of local businesses, in order to cover for special events, transportation to competitions, trips, advertising, recruitment utility bills and rent.
We are seeking your support in the form of sponsorship or donation. Your support will help our cadets keep up with their training and provide them with opportunities that will teach them the importance of good Canadian citizenship.
Income tax receipts can be provided upon request for eligible donations and sponsorship. Our local Sea Cadets support our community in a variety of ways, such as selling poppies for the Royal Canadian Legion, participating in the Milton community cleanup day and supporting the local Optimist Club during their annual Fishing Derby for local residents with special needs. The cadets also parade in the three different municipal Remembrance Day ceremonies, to support and show respect for our veterans.
We appreciate your time and generous support. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the undersigned.
