ARRIVAL TIME: 1830 (Cadets will return to the Milton Cadet Centre at 6:30pm)

BATTLE OF YORK DAY SEAMANSHIP DEMONSTRATION DAY

1. SITUATION

RCSCCs ONTARIO, CHAUDIERE and VANGUARD, as well as RCACC 709 Signals, will participate in old Fort York’s Battle of York Day on Saturday 27 April 2024. RCSCC ONTARIO will be the host corps.

2. MISSION

The cadets of RCSCC CHAUDIERE will participate in a 12 pounder 8 CWT field gun parade to demonstrate naval field gun drill as part of a seamanship display being performed for Old Fort York’s Battle of York Day. The four cadet corps will march in column of route, with the 12 pounder 8 CWT field gun, from HMCS YORK to old Fort York and back again at the end of the day with a Toronto Police Services escort for traffic control.

3. EXECUTION

a. General

This exercise will be conducted in two phases:

i. The four Cadet corps will march in column of route with police escort to and from HMCS YORK to old Fort York; and

      ii.The four Cadet corps will participate in naval field gun, seamanship and army training displays while at old Fort York.
