SAILING
FALL 2024 SAILING INFORMATION
RCSCC CHAUDIERE will be taking cadets sailing on the weekend.
Cadets will be picked up from the Cadet Centre both Sat and Sun at 6am and will return at 6pm.

Our expectation is that you will attend this great opportunity to learn something new, be a sailor, and have fun! By signing up, you confirm your attendance!
EVENT: Cadet Sailing
DATES: 5 and 6 October 2024
TIME: Meet at the Milton Cadet Centre no later than 6 am. Cadets can be picked up at 5:30 pm from the Cadet Centre.

TIME:
Cadet arrival at location: 0600 (6am)
Departure Time from location: 1630 (4:30pm)
Arrival at the Cadet Centre: 1730 (5:30pm)
Training Start Time: 0830 (8:30am)
Training Completion Time: 1600 (4pm)
MUST BRING:
HEALTH CARD - Cadets will NOT be allowed on the water without their Health Card.
a. closed toe, soft-soled running shoes (not sandals or hard-soled boots – as they will not be allowed into a sailboat with this type of footwear);
b. sunscreen; (Required to be applied as part of the CANSail 1 standard)
c. hat;
d. plastic/metal water bottle to take sailing;
e. sunglasses;
f. sweater;
g. t-shirt;
h. sweat/wind pants;
i. bathing suit;
j. towel; - you will get wet!
k. wind breaker jacket;
l. wet-suit (if desired);
m. sailing gloves (if desired);
n. two complete sets of dry clothes;
o. one pair of dry footwear; (bring one to be wet), and
p. if a cadet wears glasses, a safety strap that is attached to the glasses.

ALWAYS BRING FOOD AND A DRINK EVEN IF PROVIDED!

Jeans or denim
Horseplay, jumping in the water
